I have been meaning to do this post for a long time now.
I guess i just realized that when in a B-school, there isnt all the time in the world to do all the you want to do and to do it "Perfectly".
So, here i am ...typing this in my lunch break...
Its a fantastic experience back in a campus but at the same time, school this time is so different, so demanding in terms of personal commitment to improving oneself and wid people from the length and breadth of the planet only makes it more interesting.
Initial few days were spent in frantic efforts of getting to know eachother ... I confess i still have difficulty recollecting names of many of my classmates.
Since i opted to do 2 courses in french, i find it even more interesting! challenging!
I am so looking forward to this weekend. We are all going to the Loire Valley. Should be fun!
Sitting in a class which allows ur brain to expand its consciousness and where ur job is to just "THINK" is such a luxury and its then i tell myself, I did the right thing getting back to school!

Lazy Sunday Morning...
Mom has been telling, cajoling, shouting for the past .....was it half an hour? to get up...
Steaming coffee waiting...
brushing my teeth and waking up the rest of my senses...
squinting at the 8 am sun
not so much has changed...
but mama... i see your hair greying...
dad, you seem to be popping pills...
And my heart sinks!
When did all this happen?!?!
I look at myself in the mirror...
do i see the 13 yr old... ?
but ...where are the stars in the eyes...?
her head which was in the clouds
has moved back to her shoulders...
yeah...things have changed...
Time doesnt leave anything untouched does it?
is there a slower poison?!
I love you mom, dad...although time is tearing us apart...
little by little...
I love you, here...now...forever...

Dilli Vs. Mumbai
1. Dilli has BIG roads....and the traffic flows..although the distances are long!
In Mumbai, you find yourself stuck in a traffic that is like constipation...
2. Public transport is next to non existent...(the metro is there... but still hasnt covered all parts of the city...)...I had to take those things called radio taxis, which are expensive and arent immediate...you need to wait for abt 30 mins before u get one...
In mum, Get out of the home, and u see loads of BEST buses, tonnes of rickshaws that are cheap, and taxis ...getting about is not a problem.
3. Walk down the road in Delhi, and people LOOK at you if you are a girl....and in MUM, people dont give a shit even if u are a pretty girl!
4. Parathas taste better than in mumbai...
5. You cant live without an Airconditioner in Delhi in summer....In mumbai, you can get by....although its bloody humid and you sweat a lot!
6. Lotsa historical structures in Delhi...ofcourse its got a richer history to boast about...and not so many skyscrapers in there...where as Mum is dotted with Tall buildings, one taller than the other...and slums interspersed between them...
7. Delhi as such seems much more 'organised' where as when u think mum, the first word that comes to my mind is 'Chaos'
Cheers & signin off!

You are Disconnected!
That was a strange feeling!
I was speakin to an ole friend... per say...same name...same appeareance...same voice...same number...
but somehow it was different this time.
Until we said bye and hung up, there loomed a heavy silence in our conversation.
Ofcourse, we moved thru the motions of it... How are you?! How have you been ? and the likes of it... But in the end.... I was only too glad we hung up...
Not that i dont appreciate my friend...but there was the squeamish feeling in my stomach...that somehow....this person i was talking to...had metamorphed into something that i no longer recognized...
Or was it me? Or was it the both of us?
May be thats life!

Stealthy Lover
Surreptitiously ,
she visited us in the wee hours of the night
she leaves her footprints for us to see in the mornin
she happens to be
the first showers in mumbai
who visited us last night
and the night before
and left her wet kisses on the earth...
when will thee proclaim thy love for the earth in broad daylight!?
When will thee claim the city, thou pouring rains of mumbai monsoon?!

Sty in the eye!
i got a sty
in the eye
makes me shy
when they stare- the passers-by
i met a doc
and you know what?
she took a shiny scalpel
seeing which, my heart fell
i got a sty
in the eye
in the eye
makes me shy

i met a doc

i got a sty

I hate Him
There is me....and then,
there is Him.
All powerful 'Him' pervading my space
My tiny being
Banishing my days into beady sweats
Driving me mad,
irritable to the core
He is one who
could bring my blood to boil...
I rarely go out these days
for I fear him
fear him to rob me of my youth
I hate Him!
for He is the 'Sun in Indian Summers'
there is Him.

Heaven and Back!
spore, syro, doritos, cloud reading, lapin in the balcony of neighbour, shower gel with crystals, warm shower, cold winter nights, sunday bastille market, your gf in the vitrine in the shop on the rue downstairs, how we used to gawk at her metallic body and talk about her horsepower, belle epine, star wars, scary movie @ Bercy, screaming in the theatre, junk food from KFC and Mc Donald's, driving at 100 kms, lunch at ur home on a cold parisienne summer, dinner at chinese resto in your quartier, looking out the window of your kitchen into your garden, the taste of grapes from ur grape wine, the smell of fresh garden mint, walk by the seine, arguing over the location of parc zoologique, checking it over the internet, tears forced out of your eyes by my biryani, sims, roasted chicken from bastille market with cream and peas...

Bateaubus

Today, I took the bateaubus on my way back from office.
Fortunately the weather was fine and sunny!
Since I had only a zone 1/2 pass and our stop fell in zone 3, I ended up taking a ticket for 3 euros, but it felt nice taking the boat!
It is Bastille day on Monday. There will be celebrations on sunday and monday...am looking forward to it!
Loved!
Shining sun,
whispering wind...
misty rain...
chirping bird
fragrant flowers
passing smile
all these .... say to me....
i love thee....

Weekend!
This weekend was gay and sunny!
I rose up with a zing and quickly did my groceries...if you dont do ur groceries on Saturdays, trust me, passing your week becomes difficult in paris... had lunch...and planned out my day (which metro, what time, which place, how to go etc...)
I made my way to Hotel de Ville to catch the 'fete de nouvelle annee chinois'.
There were dragons and femmes fatale..( will upload pics soon )
drums and cymbals....
and lots of happy faces...and the sun shining at its winter best...!
I had to climb over the fountain to perch myself comfortably to get a view of what was passing on...
Then after the party departed, I transported myself to Porte de Versailles to catch up on 'Expo Langues'...I was shy and timid to approach stalls coz the folks were speaking rapid french and I didnt wanna sound like a retard trying to speak french....but still a nice young girl approached me as I unsucessfully avoided her...then i noticed that she was from a spanish stall...
I smiled and told her...mon ami voudras apprendre francais...! And then she started explaining...and finally gave me an L sized Red Tee Shirt when i said bye to her...!
I sat at an conference where they were discussing a spanish learning software...it was fun!
After i made 3 full rounds of the exhibition, I was tired and so i found my way back home to dump all the pamphlets i had collected at the exhibition. And since the sun was still a little bit around, i went out shopping....again...only Saturdays are available for me to do some shopping...
After which i came home tired and beaten...and went to sleep....spent! It was heaven on earth.
Sunday was spent in almost equal frenzy....went to Krishna Bhavan to give weekly attendance...ate somethin called as Ceylon dosa...it was a yellowish dosa...was okish!
and then in the evening went to Cite Universitaire for Saraswathi pooja celebrations...
It was nice to be amongst students after a looong time...i started to wonder if I had begun to show symptoms of growing old!!! Though i didnt have any buddy body around which might have added to the fun, it was good nevertheless....

Crazy weekened!
It was one crazy weekend this time...
Imagine meeting a Polish, an english/hindi speaking french, a croatian and a hungarian AND a handful of 'exceptional in what i do' people...all in the same weekend...
My weekend just flashed by like a flicker...
But I had da most fun indoor parisien weekend until now.

Premises
Why is premises important?
I think it is an essential element in cognition. Perceptions takes shape only in relation to a premise.
It is not just important to look at things, but to look at them the right way to perceive them in totality.
